Stage III is a qualifying English typing test. You will be given a passage; type it as accurately as you can within the time limit. Speed is measured in characters-with-spaces, and mistakes above the permissible threshold affect qualification.
Historical candidate reports (2020, unofficial — not from the DHC notification) describe: a printed legal/judgment-style passage handed out ~2 minutes before typing began, Times New Roman 14pt double-spaced, roughly 3,800–4,000 keystrokes over ~3 pages, spell-check off, and advice to prioritise accuracy over speed. CrispUPSC uses these details only to make practice realistic — they are not official DHC rules.
